Mitten Making Workshop
Do you have an old wool or minimum 80% wool, sweater you no longer wear or it shrunk "accidentally"? Even if it has a rip or a hole, it can be repurposed into a pair of warm, winter mittens.
Please wash the sweater in hot water and dry completely in the dryer. It must not exceed 1/8” thick after washing and drying. No cotton sweaters, please, they are too 'messy' to sew.
We will supply the pattern, lining, thread and sewing machine. Please bring scissors and a seam ripper, just in case! 100 % wool or partial wool sweaters work the best.
Sewing experience is necessary. And ages 10 and up.
